In a frozen land, there is a prophecy of a dark lord named Or'innott, who will rise from his icy prison and turn his rage towards the human lands. His gaze will turn anyone who meets his eyes into his servant, and they will join hordes of demons in serving his evil plan. He will devour the Great Fire and become the timeless ruler of the lands and souls, and only those who truly believe will keep the Holy Sun and lead the way to a difficult path of trials to rekindle the Great Fire.

The Valley of a Thousand Waterfalls is known as the Drowning Valley among locals because it is filled with thousand-year-old icy hills and waterfalls that freeze for most of the year. Only in rare warm days, the ice melts, and the valley comes to life with shimmering lights. However, this beauty is deceptive, and only a few are brave enough to step on its grounds. The dangers are everywhere, from the hidden caverns and lakes under the ice to the slippery plains and sudden gusts of icy wind. In the depths of these dangers, thousands of restless souls await any careless traveler.

When a demonic strike shook the walls of the monastery, a monk named Nilid fell, shattering the Sun Lamp, but the power within it found a new home within his body, saving him from possession and marking him as the Keeper of Light, fiercely fighting against the Demonic Essence. As he treads the path of darkness, the power of Or'innot over him grows stronger, and if he succumbs to the Demonic Essence, he will become an eternal slave; but for balance, Nilid must use both powers, for the trials on the path push him towards both the Light and the Darkness.

Through this perilous land, Nilid ventures on a journey. He must balance the power of the Sun's Light and the Demonic Essence within him, for he is marked by the demon lord and the Holy Sun as to be the protector of the Light, as foretold in ancient prophecies. The more Nilid walks the path of darkness, the stronger he becomes one with the demon's forces, making him almost invisible to his enemies. Still, the harder it will be for him to return to the Light, and the more the power of Or'innott will grow over him. If the Demonic Essence wins, he will be the eternal slave of the demon lord.

In his journey, Nilid faces many challenges, from the treacherous icy grounds to the dangerous creatures lurking in the valleys. He encounters a huge slimy creature, the Slime Comb, and an army of lizard scavengers, the Vultures. He also stumbles upon a cavern filled with bones and branches and faces the swamp creatures and the monstrous bird attacking him. After the battle, the monster turns into a beautiful witch, the cursed guardian of the valley's swamps.
